I created motion graphics for Zelle’s new Split Up feature — the one that lets you easily divide a bill with friends. The campaign featured Joe Jonas, and my role was to bring a playful energy to the video through motion design. Each scene highlights 4 different restaurants and their signature dishes, keeping the visuals lively and appetizing.
At first, the director wanted to explore a nostalgic, vintage looks, so I experimented with pink retro lines and hand-drawn textures.
After a few rounds of tweaks, we found that a solid yellow text with a bold drop shadow worked better with the footage, giving the piece more visibility and punch while keeping the fun, friendly vibe intact.
